Back To School Beach Cleanup Planned

The North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher and the Town of Kure Beach will host a Back-to-School Beach Cleanup Saturday, August 22, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Ocean Front Park, 105 Atlantic Avenue. The free event is open to students and community members, who are encouraged to wear school colors or mascots. Reusable gloves, pickers, buckets, and bags will be available, along with water refill stations. Cleanup volunteers may use free parking in town spaces during the event.
