Traditional School Year Begins August 24

Cumberland County Schools will begin the 2026-27 traditional school year on Monday, August 24. The date applies to students attending traditional-calendar schools, including families served by schools in and around Spring Lake. Year-round, early-college, international, and Cumberland Polytechnic calendars have different start dates. Families should review their individual school's calendar and transportation information before the first day, since school hours and bus arrangements can vary by campus.
