Artists And Elders Meet At Civic Center

A free public conversation with Black artists and elders is scheduled for Thursday, August 20, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the second-floor Public Meeting Room at the Las Vegas Civic Center, 525 S. Main St. Carmen Beals will moderate a panel featuring Chase McCurdy, Iyana Esters, Harold Bradford, Jackie Brantley and Alma Faye McDonald. The program connects to the Rhythm and Resilience: Black Vegas exhibition, which is on display through August 20. Registration is available, and the city offers complimentary two-hour parking validation in the nearby garage.
