NERPA Pickleball Tournament Set for August 15

The third annual Northesst Recreation and Parks Association pickleball tournament is scheduled for Saturday, August 15, at Grosse Pointe Woods Lake Front Park. Beginner and intermediate doubles for players age 50 and older run from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by competitive doubles for all ages from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. Registration costs $90 per team, and teams must register with a partner. The event page says proceeds support scholarship funding for local children's camps and recreation programs.
